Avery Wickwire is a visual artist based in the Hudson Valley of New York. He is an Eagle Scout that creates a wide variety of art from many mediums, with nature often as a main theme. Working primarily with photography and both digital/traditional drawing, he attempts to create bold, cinematic pieces often with thought provoking and open ended narratives. Currently, he produces surreal work inspired by the unconscious. Producing final pieces in the style of a collage of sorts, he brings unique elements together to form cohesive images filled with energy. His narrative driven pieces often contain different stories for each individual viewer based on their unique perception. Avery has shown his artwork in various places, such as group shows in Webutuck High School, Dutchess Community College, Marist University and a solo show at the NorthEast-Millerton Library, which sits in his home town.
